No shit, but why should I have to adjust my grip to use this light. Needless to say they refunded me shipping and the retail cost of the light.

Had high hopes for the APL given the quality of the WML. Inforce refuses to admit that there is a design flaw in the light. Went to a TLR3 for AIWB and as with all of streamlights products it's solid, and so is the company backing it.

The "you're holding it wrong" statement reminds me of the iphone Antennagate days.

Against my better judgment, I decided to order an APL.........and a X300U for insurance. Wish me luck!

Any weapon light that has any movement on it once attached to a firearm is a sign it will fail at some point. We all remember the horrible Insight Procyon lights doing the same thing. They couldn't fix the issue and are discontinued.

People complain about the price of Surefire weapon lights, but they work and stay on. Surefire spends a year or more with it being battle tested before they release them.

Just picked on up to try out. If it stays on after a few hundred rounds I'll carry it concealed.

Anyone figure out why these lights fell off their pistols?

I have only used mine at 12 o'clock on a carbine and it has not fallen off or stopped working. It is not anywhere near the muzzle so at least it is not subject to any blast.

That said, I also have an old X300 that I use too. For me the X300 is harder to operate, but under stress I wonder if the APL will more likely be activated accidentally or will stay on when I just wanted a short blast of light.

I like the light weight though, especially since I have jumped on the KMR+ELW "light is right" bandwagon. It would be nice to find someone with an WML to see how that feels at 12 o'clock.

I have an Inforce WML at the 12 o'clock position on a 13" KMR rail. It feels great.

I picked up the APL about a month ago and have since put about 700 rounds through it on my Glock's and M&P's without any issues. I have also been carrying it concealed on and off since I picked it up. Must say it's a very solid light and I'm going to get at least one more. Also I've got about 400 rounds through my BCM with the WML at 12 o'clock and it's pretty damn comfortable too.

I'm currently using the HSP WML on one of my AR's but I'm kinda of shocked what those guys found out. I had planned to purchase the APL for my G19 but it doesn't look good.......
So are these GTG or are they still flying off the rails when firing the gun?

I'm trying to find a slimmer light to put on my G19 for carry than my X300Ultra. It's a fantastic light, just too big for carry.

I'm also considering the Viridian C5L.
If you can't win a gun fight against a lightly-trained individual during broad daylight with 88 rounds of 30-06, I'm not sure you'd be able to do it with... any other firearm.

Ok, I've got an El Camino full of rampage here, so what's the plan?

I cannot speak for all of them but the one I just got a month ago has been perfect on my glocks and m&p's so far. I like it enough that I just ordered a second one actually.

My buddy's InForce kept flying off his M&P45 right around 600 rounds. InForce asked him to wait for their revision, which is supposed to hep with this issue. He was told August before he receives his new, updated model.

Are you saying his light began flying off after about 600 rounds?
