Well brother that sucks, I have been ground stalking deer for 20 plus years and I can tell you I saw it was not going to happen for you right away. First off the deer was to big LOL

We were feeding cows and just barely spotted him as he put his head back down. We went ahead and fed cows for another hour and came back to get him. I was standing on the back of the pickup as my brother snuck up there. The deer had moved about 15 yards farther away so we honestly thought he had left when he wasn't where we saw him the first time. After he made the shot, we really thought he got him. In the video as he's running over the hill he kept tripping and kind of stumbling. We just knew he would go down. We went to town and ate lunch, giving it a good hour. When we came back we looked and looked finding no blood. We found where he shot at him and finally found the arrow. No blood or hair on the arrow. A clean miss. We knew then there was no hope of finding him.
Or was there?..........
Stay tuned for The Rest of The Story..

Dang, that sucks. Heck of a deer! Bow hunting has proved to be some of the most frustrating times ever for me. I spot and stalk and don't do the whole tree stand thing and have yet to get a buck. Had a 60 yd shot at a nice muley last year but wasn't comfortable at that distance. Hope ya get that one sometime!
And now, The Rest of The Story...
Fast foward two months...
We pasture our cattle on our wheat ground during the winter so they have something to eat and we won't have to feed them hay everyday. When the weather looks nasty, snow or rain, we shut them off so they don't stomp the wheat into mud. We had the cattle shut off the wheat but they had got out anyways. My brother went to find where they had got out. He found a good sized hole in the fence so he patched it up with wire and drove a couple posts. As he was walking back to his pickup he tripped on something. Thinking it was just a stick buried in the snow, he looked down and couldn't believe what he saw....
He had tripped over that deers right antler. He knew immediately it was that deer. He began to look around and not 10 yards away was the other antler. Talk about luck. The deer survived to grow another year, we got an awesome video, and my brother found his sheds!
That's an impressive find. Good luck on bagging him next year. Hopefully he isn't on his down now in antler growth.

I watched that video and some of the others you have posted. You guys have a nice spread there. I enjoyed the coyote/shotgun video as well!

Shit what a find, what state are you in? Did you tape them, I would think they went 190" plus? Good luck guys, good luck!

HA!! not for a 160" deer around here! It'll be mounted and the story will be told.
Thank you sir.. I hope we will be able to add more this spring with turkey and maybe some fishing.
Okla! Not sure about 190", we are thinking 170" possibly. I'll have him measure them this weekend.
