Vickers sling, two QD's and the single point adapter all in one package. http://www.impactweaponscomponents.c...-sling-by-iwc/

I roll with a VTAC 2 point. I like the longer adjustability of the sling. Downside is the extra sling hangs there, it doesn't bother me at all but for some people it gets in the way. Mounting wise, I do the farthest back on the stock and around 1/4 of the way out on the handguard from the receiver (just enough so it clears my normal grip).

I use HSGI tacos for mag pouches. I've also seen good things with the fastmags. Also, I would recommend a dump pouch to hang off your belt to throw stuff in.

I can't speak for a class as I have yet to have to privilege to take one but from my time in the Army and being Infantry and constantly training, less is more. Read what the class requires and bring that. Go look through the AAR's of similiar classes and those will help quite a bit with what to do and not to do. Keep it light and simple. We were always doing ready up drills, mag change drills, reflexive fire and even the smallest of things weighed you down after manipulating a rifle over and over then shooting. Another +1 on the BFG VCAS.

OP - Failure2Stop has an excellent thread with a lot of good info, it was a help to me.

And I'll dogpile as well. The VCAS sling is what I run on all my carbines and shotguns. Blue Force Gear makes great kit, and Mr. Vicker's design is top-notch.

I've previously had both versions of the Magpul sling. Nothing wrong with the MS3, but holy hell do I like my new VCAS padded.

Vickers is my vote. I love mine. It is better than all the other slings i've tried.

A few questions about my upcoming class

I have a 2 BFG/Vickers padded 2-point slings and like them a lot. My gunsmith/retired-SEAL/instructor mentioned the Magpul because he says you can go from 2-point to 1-point easily. But he too likes the BFG/Vickers slings.

Vickers sling gets a -1 from me.

SOB sling wins by a mile.

I've heard of it, but no experience. Why the -1?

Way too bulky for my liking and not nearly as easy to use as the SOB sling.

I bought one when they first came out and sold it after a range day of use, too much that did not work for me, especially when wearing a PC with stuff on it, annoying.

Never really did a full review (before I was doing reviews like I do now) it was more of a hit and run.
