So I brought a new lower to a local engraver as I figured it would be best to try out the local company. But, I've never been there before so I was a little weary as to whether or not a good job would be done. So as I was getting my stripped lower out, the engraver busts open the door and comes screaming out of the building. I figured he meant business, so I started to quickly assemble my lower as fast as I could so that I could get it into action. Luckily, I had brought a loaded mag and an upper. So I slapped the upper together, threw the mag in and took cover behind my car. The engraver was irate (at something) and had grabbed a metal pipe and was yelling that he would going to kill everyone. So I loaded my mag and racked one back.... the only thing though, is that nothing happened. I opened my upper again only to find that I didn't have a BCG installed, due to this crazy climate... I haven't been able to find one.

I then casually walked up and dropped off my lower to be engraved. Two days later -- bam.... great job. Is that the type of fantastic story you're looking for from an engraving thread?
It would have been more interesting if you had included the part where the ATF agent who was on NFA patrol that day had happened on the scene, arrested you and confiscated your rifle for contructive intent (or if you prefer, "intent to assemble").

Oh I forgot to add the upper I had on hand that day was a 26" heavy barrel varmit DPMS. Capable of 1" groups at 500m.

    +1

They are great, very good job marking two AR lowers and a SIG upper for me. Took about 4 weeks but worth the wait for the job that was done.

Ident did beautifully what Orion said couldn't be done under the trigger guard, and turnaround was 5 weeks. Highly recommended.
