Does this look off to anyone?

Can someone tell me if this doesn't look right. Currently the bolt catch will not hold it back. It just slides forward. Can some one more experienced give me some insight. This is my first AR build. The angle seems to be off.

    any help is appricated.

    Thanks

That angle on the carrier is normal.

Can you manually lock the bolt to the rear, but it won't hold back on the last round when fired? Or can you not even lock the bolt to the rear manually?

Ive yet to fire the weapon yet. It seems like when i go to lock it back with no mag in as soon as I pull the weight off the charging handle it loses it and slams forward,

Your bolt carrier looks fine. I'd suspect the bolt catch.

Stupid question but, are you depressing the bolt catch? Without a empty magazine in it won't lock back by itself.

Are you saying what inks linger said or are you saying that with it locked back as soon as you pull the charging handle, the bolt catch falls down and the bolt slams foward?

OK just tried that as well, same thing seems to hold and as soon as the weight is off the charging handle that sucker slams forward

    It sounds like either
a)your bolt catch/detent/spring has been incorrectly installed
b)your lower is out of spec.
