Locked completely back with no resistance. I thought everything was just a bit "tight" Will the Vltor carbine buffer and spring work with my setup? Is the A5 that much better?
The a5 is the cats ass, but unless you have issues with reliability that are buffer related and cannot be fixed with heavier buffers in your current setup dont waste the money.

Trust me non taken. In the military we were issued weapons that worked. Im glad I came on here for advice. Trust me no rounds would've even gotten chambered if i couldn't figure this out. I know the basics just didnt know the extent of the customizability that one could get into.
Look at the link to the other thread I gave you earlier. Looking at your pics, it looks like your A5 isn't seating on the spring properly. This slight difference caused me to have issues locking back. Check with Vltor to confirm that your spring is seated properly on your buffer.
I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them but to inform their discretion.

I think you guys were right and the lower is out of spec... since it's no good i'll give you 150$ and take it off your hands![]()
where did you get the A5? EVERY place on the net I have seen it for sale gives a warning about needing the A5 RE...
the A5 system uses a longer buffer, with a rifle length spring and longer RE (tube) to replicate the recoil and cyclic rate of a rifle lower. the buffer by itself will not do it. it is a system...
