There was no specific cleaning product recommended. The advisory was simply to use products that are designed and intended for firearms rather than other cleaning or lubricant products (simple green, motor oil, carb cleaner, etc).

With the current crop of gun cleaning/lube products being so good there's no reason to even look at Hoppes, esp for modern service pistols.

For my own knowledge so that I can phase out Hoppes from my cleaning regimen, what do you use for cleaning fouling from Glock barrels?

I currently use Slip 2000 CLP, EWL, 725 cleaner/degreaser, and Carbon Killer in my armory for all my needed cleaning tasks. The CLP and EWL do it all in the Glocks.

Finished up this class yesterday. Pretty much the same AAR from me as my instructor was Erich as well.

Couple things of note from my class

They are hovering around 1.5 million back-ordered guns right now and pumping out 5k-7k guns a day, 6 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Erich mention the single stack 9mm briefly, However with the current backlog it has obviously been put to the side. He joked that we would see it at SHOT show, he just didn't know which one .

Overall excellent class that I learned a lot at (esp considering I worked a 12 hour night shift before going to the 8a-5p class.)

There is a fight, that began before any of us were ever born. It will continue, long after we have retired, moved on, and left this world. It is a fight for the soccer mom next door, your mailman, the guy that bags your groceries, and most importantly, it is a fight for your family. We are in a daily battle not for land, not for resources or colonial controls...we are in a fight for our very way of life
