    THANKS....

Ok iam gona order one and give it a try seems like the thing to do.
the cycle life is so great seems like it would be an improvement over stock, I will also order the blue one later on to check it out..

Thanks all. Was just wanting some inside info. I read and read in the search but couldnt make my mind up. I will keep my stock for a spare and install the white springco spring.

The use of aftermarket springs makes be very nervous. I definitely am NO fan of any CS action or mag spring.

And after buying into the CS thing once years back and having one of Tactical Spring's creations turn a gun into a malf machine... I don't swing that way at all.

Why are there always side effects to any product?

Were you using a stock power spring or one with more power Markm? Iam wondering how a spring just made of differnt materials
would couse a malf.? But i could see how changing the spring rate could.

I use valve springs in the motors i build made out of this material, becouse i need more spring tension and the rpm will be around 9000 somtimes. "V-8s dont like this lol." So i understand about the added spring life under extreme conditions. And this is whats got me thinking about the springco buffer springs.

You won't get 20x the spring life, though. Quite the opposite, I imagine.

Well the CS will cause a malf because they can rust in moist environments. That material failed miserably in Magpul's corrosion tests during the development of pmags.

As far as spring rate? Who friggin knows what that garbage was. I still have the piece of shit in my bench.

    I use Colt springs.

I put a little North of 5K through one Colt with nary a cleaning on every original spring. Lubed with Breakfree CLP.

Change all the springs and gas rings at 3K and never worry.

The Springco White is a great spring and is better than a normal carbine spring and here is why:

It is more linear and it functions more like a rifle spring.

If you count the coils and measure OAL, it's easy to see that they are different from a normal carbine spring.

I'm a huge fan of Springco and have had no issues using them in a wide variety of guns. They have a full molydisulfide coating and are not affected by salt spray and corrosion in the way that naked CS can be.

I would recommend a Springco White and an H2 buffer for your M400.

It is strange they dont add a rust prev. to all springs that could be used in a salty condition, here in the south things rust like crazy if you dont watch them...

This is why i asked, after reading for an hour, and most comments were for middys, there is some love and hate it seems. Iam gona try one,but is there a place to order Colt springs other than Colt?

Of coarse Sig wont sell part kits that would be to easy and they could make money, They just say order from brownells but i want the best you can get. And they sell all kinds of stuff from companys that i wouldnt order from even before i started reading here.

Parts are kinda hard to get right now.But i dont want a bunch of bushmaster or dpms parts in my gun. Dont get me wrong iam not bashing either one. I had three choices when i bought my Sig-m400.

It was either Bushmaster, Windham or the last Sig on the shelf, I bought the sig. I didnt know about the problems they were having with thier pistols and CS, But i have had no problems with CS and from what ive read here the Sigs not bad, Its got all the right things done to it,but time will tell. Hence the good parts buying thing.

Do you only use one color or do you match a color to a gas length or something entirely different? Thanks
