i use a blue sprinco spring with st-t2 buffer in a 14.5 bcm middy. runs great have about 3k on it with out malfunctions. i like that i don't have to worry about changing it anytime soon. use their extractor springs too. when i didn't know any better i used a extra, extra red sprinco action spring......that ran great too. go figure.

been meaning to change change over to the more appropriate white spring. like i said, i bought my blue and red springs a few years back when i though "extra power" some how meant better.

i wonder if i am paying the price of extra power blue spring with a rougher recoil impulse? i guess i will see when i get a white one and have something to compare it to.

It's not the labor, it's the ordering, shipping costs, meeting the minimum order dollar amount, credit card BS, hoping you get the right part every time you need to replace the spring. Just get a Springco and be done...

I just added a couple springs onto one of my orders with BCM and was done with it. Pretty simple, no?

Yeah.. I've never added the WRONG spring to my order either.

I just keep a couple Colt carbine, and a couple of Colt Rifle springs on hand all the time. If I end up pulling one out, I'll add a replacement to my next Brownells order.

Iam looking more into longer spring life. To me theres no re-coil on an m-4, I normaly shoot much bigger stuff. some of my pistols kick harder i think..lol I just ordered the h-buff from bcm. And wow their shipping is fast. like 2 days.

I found the blue spring rating at 7.4 lb i think, does anyone know what the stock rate in lb is?

While iam here just thought i would add that it looks like the craze maybe slowing down. I saw some metal Red Jacket Firearms mags.
at my local academy for 24 bucks. Dont know what manf. they were i dont need anymore right now. But if you do you may check yours, It was even a sat. afternoon and they were still there. Shocking...lol...

Yulp, if you need ammo, show up at just before 0900 and when the doors open, there usually is some. I work the South Austin area now, but I still buy most of my supply from Cabelas
