I don't think anyone is doubting that.

The problem lies in the unfinished hammer and trigger pin holes.
What is going to happen to the unfinished pin holes? I was under the impression that 7075 T7351 is already as hard as steal and using Anti Roll Pins will insure there are no issues like egging. Seriously, if you think otherwise, I'll have them finished but I just can't see anything happening to the pin holes with a semi auto rifle. I could understand going rock and roll but egging out those holes on a semi auto rifle is pretty rare on anything with less than a 20,000 round count. Maybe you've seen more than me but I've only ever heard of this issue happening with 6065 aluminum and full auto rifles. In the end however, Anti Roll Pins will prevent all of this.

I came across like "hey look at me"? Dude, it's a Firearm forum on the interwebs. People post pictures of their custom painted AR's, plain Jane AR's and custom milled AR's all of the time. I'm not the first one and I sure as hell hope you never posted a picture of one of the AR's that you (put together).
We all post pictures. That's not the point. Expect criticism and don't act surprised and call people haters when they disagree with your posts. I'm not one to buy lowers with skulls n spiders n sharks n shit on 'em - MEGA billets are about the only billet I do, so I'm probably not the best audience for something like this. I apologize if I offended - probably just should've clicked onwards and upwards.

Or just do not use the term haters on a respectable site.

I don't get it. The magwell grip is stupid. You could have screwed around with a built in mag holder or something but instead went with the grip favored by dirt shooters everywhere.

I could have? I didn't design it. You gotta talk to the guy who did. Only dirt shooters use the magwell grip? LOL.

And for people that don't know any better because they have never attended a carbine class and learned everything they think they know on defensive shooting from NutNFancy.

Meant to say 6061. I don't know. I guess some who are trying to save money by selling cheap 80% lowers. I do know some of the older Colts were 6061.

The military is teaching the magwell grip in some situations. Somebody needs to tell them it's not the correct way.

Seriously, now we are arguing over which grip is taught during a carbine class?

This thread will be closed soon. Gripping the magwell in any capacity limits the control you have on the rifle. Is it never to be used under any circumstance? Of course not. It is just not an effective way to manipulate a rifle. When people who fire AR's extensively (I havent as much as others here) see a magwell grip forged into a lower they know that it is a fairly pointless aesthetic add on usually reserved for mall Ninja's.
