I would submit to you that you will be happy with either one. It just comes down to the package you want. Both are light weight, have nice furniture, and nice modular rail systems. I think the fact that you can utilize the heavier grain bullets with the TS is a big selling point over the 1 in 9 twist of the VTAC. But then again, I am biased toward the TS since I've not shot the VTAC.

What kind of ammo do you have available?

My family and I visited Paris recently, we had a great time and hope to visit again.

There isn't choice for AR15 in France.

You know posting in the AR general discussion will get you everyone's opinion.. if you have done a little research, which I know you have, then all the new guys posting about commercial AR's and how good they are do you no good in evaluating your choices.

    Hi,
I have done a big research, but i'm interesting by all opinions.
To be honnest, i allready choose the brand (S&W) because i've got handguns and i like S&W.
The choice of model is more complicate.
thank all members of the forum, I learned a lot by reading and it is not finished.

    Hi all,
I reserved an MP 15 TS and i've just another question about the flash hider of this model.
This is a vortex flash hider fixed, but is it possible to remove it ?
I've send a message to S&W and this is the answer :

    "Dear Customer,

The flash suppressor is held on by a crush washer under 35 flbs of pressure. You can have a gun a gunsmith remove it by putting the barrel in a vice and using a torque wrench.

If further assistance is required please reply accordingly.

    Sincerely,"

I have doubts about the answer to because it looks too easy to do.
I thought it was welded, but if it's the truth this is realy good new because i want to put a sound suppressor.
    What is your opinion ?
    Thx for yours answers
    Respectfully.

    4 (100%)
It's not welded or pinned when sold in the US market...only screwed on (1/2 inch x 28 threads-per-inch) and held with a crush washer. In the US, putting a suppressor on is a simple matter of wrenching it off and screwing the suppressor on with a crush washer.

Don't know about France. I realize that suppressors are legal without the registration crap necessary in the US, but I guess it's possible that French law for Class 4 firearms might have barrel length restrictions or other laws that affect use of suppressors.

Yes suppressors are legal in France, and all size of barrel are autorized with or without suppressor.
I am surprised that it is also easy to remove the flash hider because if someone (of course noboby of this forum) want a 14.5" barrel without legal declaration it's too easy.
Recently, we can buy DPMS Panther with 5.5" flash hider which is removable and all owner remove it.
    Thx for your answer.
