Just received my TiRant 9S today...

My NFA forms just got approved today and I got the suppressor in my hands. I bought it for its small stature and its merits for a HD pistol. Went against an Osprey for the fact it covers up my X300 and the TiRant 9 because of size.

    An interesting sound test:

The 9S is actually quieter at the ear wet than a TiRant 9 dry. Of course within close quarters this may change. But even the dry-dry comparison is not that far off.

My question is- I know it should be run wet, but will I damage it if I run it dry?

You can shoot it dry without any issues.

They are in fact designed to be shot dry. Shooting them wet is a cool added feature that knocks a extra 10 db's or so off for 1 to 2 magazines worth of shooting.

I've shot the osprey and tirant on a 45USP host and both are nice cans. I'll probably be going with the TiRant too. Nice choice.

The Ti-RANT "S" cans were designed to be shot wet.

They sound OK dry, especially outdoors.

I have had a TiRant 9 mm for the past couple of years. I have shot over a thousand rounds through it dry, it still sounds good.

    have fun

The S (short) model is meant to be shot wet but I'd take that sacrifice for a can that compact. Very neat can!

    I still think a Tirant 45S would be a good 9mm can....
