Best spotting scope setup or binos for $300?

I'm not looking for anything crazy at all since the max distance I'll be shooting at for now is only 100m. I don't want junk either though. I also can't decide whether a spotting scope or binos would work better for me. At the moment, this is only for a static range. Mil discounts are a big plus (I'm looking at some Bushnell and Leupold stuff on Promotive now). Anyone have experience with the SX-1 Ventana or the BX-2 Cascades?

I have been using a Konus spotting scope for several years and it is a decent optic for the money. It is a 20-60x80 and I can see .223 holes at 200 meters with it when the lighting conditions are right. I can see spotting discs at 1000 yards when I shoot F class matches. It is not the best scope in the world, but it gets the job done for less than $300.

Wake, is $300 an arbitrary amount you came up with or is that the minimum that is required to get into the market for a 100m spotting scope?

This one has worked well for me, well beyond 100m. It isn't bombproof or anything, but it will do the job on the range.

Just an amount I came up with. I know next to nothing about magnified anything, whether its binos, rifle scopes, or spotting scopes. But I figured if I had to pay anymore than that, I'd just spend the extra money on the Eotech magnifier I've wanted for a while.
