Why are 300 barrels so high?

There are quite a few cheaper offerings of 300BLK barrels out there if you don't want to pay a pretty penny and don't need the top of the line barrel, name brand, or chrome lining.

Aimsurplus has 300BLK barrels for $199 with melonite coating. Sota-Arms has standard 300BLK M4barrels for $140. Both are non-CL and are 16-inch carbine gas systems IIRC.

They are expensive because you are not looking in the right spot. Try SOTA Arms, quality SS barrels, just gotta wait a bit for them. Paid about 100 bucks for mine and that was post idiocy.

Ammo? I reload so I'm sitting pretty with 400 rounds of 300 BLK and can make more whenever I want.
