“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” –Thomas Jefferson, quoting 18th century criminologist Cesare Beccaria in “On Crimes and Punishment”, 1764
Great thread. Thanks Trident. Kinda on topic, I went to a scrap iron yard and grabbed some 1/2 in steel plates w/o holes. Anyone have any idea how I could rig them?
THE MORE YOU SWEAT IN TRAINING, THE LESS YOU BLEED IN BATTLE
It's best to work with the AR500, and heck of a lot safer. I went the soft steel route and had stuff coming off the steel unpredictably.
I have since replaced all my steel targets with AR500 designs and they have been quite a bit more durable as can be expected.
Tag. Need soon.
This new target stand/setup is officially bombproof
Figure this thread is as good as any others considering my recent shooting endeavor is quite unusual to say the least. Bottom line was that this stand/setup got some field testing in the process.
I laced a glowing AR500 target up w/ white lightning.....used the Recce to engage it @ 300yds at 1am in the pitch black.
Tracers, glow in the dark steel, moonless night....and some distance for effect, hard to not have fun
MRP Recce @ 300yds.....Tracers on glowing AR500 laced w/ White Lightning
wow, that's a cool video. at 1:49 that hit puts off enough light you can see the leaves in the tree tops.
what is white lightning?
Thanks, the white lightning is a low velocity igniting tannerite which opens the door for so many more applications for what one can do with it....rimfire stuff, and LR stuff where velocity loss occurs below normal tannerite thresholds for ignition being prob. the biggest advantages over normal tannerite.
The owner of the white lightning brand is a nice guy as well, I discussed this product with him a bit after I was so pleased with it.
I orginally bought from Midway, but will prob. order direct from now on.
