    Build My First AR-15

I have around $2,000 to spend on my first AR 15 build. The type of gun i want to build is something like a Warsport LVOA or a Scar 16. I like guns that have little recoil and a lot of control-ability. I am currently shooting Scars and love them, but don't own any ARs. I also like guns that are very lightweight like the Scar. I also only believe in buying the highest quality gun I can buy, one that I will be able to pass down and will still be shooting twenty or thirty years later if well cared for. Weight is also paramount to me, i want a very lightweight gun. Please recommend me a build. Currently i am considering a Daniel Defense upper since i see them as being the same quality as BCM but cheaper. That's as far as i've gotten into the build. I'm open for your suggestions, bear in mind I want:

    1.) Low/weak recoil impulse
    2.) Low muzzle rise/very good control-ability
    3.) Lightweight
    4.) Durability and High Quality

    Thanks!

Sounds like a SR15 would be ideal for you. It fits your requirements perfectly.

    BCM 16inch lightweight midlength upper
    BCM BCG
    Battlecomp 1.5

Should be a pretty light and low recoil setup

What about buffers, i don't really know much about AR 15 buffers, i think there is spring and hydraulic. I assume hydraulic would be softer.

No hydraulic buffer. Use a Springco blue spring, start with an H buffer, try an H2 and an H3. Use the heaviest buffer that will reliably cycle your range ammo.

Hydraulics are asking for trouble. The best buffer and spring system is the Vltor A5.

Why not do some reading here first since you appear to be new to the system and seem to know very little about the platform.

You also can't build a SCAR 16 since it is a proprietary design.

Yes. Excellent advice. I have one on my Noveske Light Recce. Works great.
