    New 14.5 mid

I've been stocking parts for this for over three months. It's finally coming together.

Daniel Defense 14.5 LW mid barrel A2X pinned
    BCM blemished upper
    BCM BCG
    BCM lo pro gas block
    BCM gunfighter mod 4
    ADM mount with Aimpoint C3
    Fortis MFG rail
    Spikes lower
    Spikes VFG
    Daniel Defense LPK
    Magpul MOE+ grip
    Vltor buffer/tube
    Old B5 stock

I wanted to try a lightweight gun. Already have a socom and standard carbine. Bought all the parts and gradually began to assemble. Ready to take it to the range asap. Really looking forward to trying a 14.5 mid length.

Not too sure how I feel about the rail. It's a little more narrow than I anticipated but I really have little need for rail down both sides.

you'll be amazed how much the low pro barrel will improve handling. Used that one in the past it's great.

Looks great! I just finished one like that recently. If you haven't got to shoot it yet you will love it. Mine runs very smooth with the H buffer but I may try a heavier one. Is your buffer system the A5?

No, I have the A5 on my carbine with the socom barrel. I've just got a standard carbine buffer and tube right now on this one.

I put a few rounds through it just before I left town an the thing cycles really smoothly. Makes my carbine without the A5 feel like it kicks quite a bit. I'll try and do some more when I make it home. Pretty happy with it overall.

Then don't mess with the middy.

Sounds like the bean is overgassed. Might run smoother with the -3 or the -4 buffer.

I plan on leaving the mid alone. Got a 3 and 4 on the way to try in the carbine. Now if I can drag myself away from the pistol range long enough to run the carbines..
