    LMT MRP Question

Any idea on the weight loss with the barrel work? I like the looks but want a decent amount of weight loss with the expense.

Mike, pics???.....they have to be done by now I'd imagine.

Arguably the sickest project builds I've seen to date....I can't wait to see the finished product!

    Thanks guys!

Since I was simultaneously having the barrels cut back 3" shorter, I didn't figure I'd gain much beneficial data on exactly how much weight the ball milling saved by itself.

My goal with these modified barrels was to achieve the operational gas benefits 11.5" barrels bring over 10.5" barrels, while minimizing extra weight on the forward portion of the rifle. When I get a chance, I'll weigh my 11.5" dimpled barrel, in case anyone has a 10.5" MRP barrel they'd like to weigh for comparison. I can weigh the barrel with and without the muzzle device.

Allex, unfortunately...I think I've got about 3 more months to wait until my SBR paperwork is approved...but I can take some updated pics of the rifles sans-barrels.

Aside from ATF approval, the only things I'm waiting on now are the updated M300B Surefire Scout lights, and for my Acog mounts and offset-T1's to arrive from Larue!

Good gracious you've got some serious coin into this project.....that said, I honestly believe it will be totally worth it.

No need to trouble over the pics until your paperwork comes back
