Who is going nuts trying to find ammo

Honestly, is just completely ridiculous. I can't find ammo. I refuse to buy ammo for twice of what is was before the panic and it seems the friggin hoarders buy everything up 1 second after it goes into stock. I am going nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK, rant over. Tell me I am not alone in this frustration. Does anyone have any good pipeline sources?

    you're not alone...

I have been able to find 9mm and 40sw, but have been unable to find any .225/5.56 for normal prices.

I have been using this time to adjust my rifles.

New barrel, new rail, and soon to be new optic. Most of the time I feed bad for buying gun parts. "Ugh, this is like 1k rounds of ammo.."

Now that I can't get ammo, I don't mind buying gun parts.

So, I replaced my 16" barrel with a stainless 16" barrel. After shooting about a magazine worth, BCM got their 18" stainless barrels in stock so I have one of those delivering soon.

But of course, I had to change the rail! So I also ordered a 15" Troy Alpha rail to replace my 11" Alpha rail.

I also swapped my Geissele SSA for a Wilson TTU.

Don't mean to derail your rant thread! Just trying to look on the bright side.

Midwayusa.com has been doing a very good job of getting in ammo in most popular calibers on a regular basis, and they are not gouging on it.

Who is going nuts trying to find ammo

I honestly can't believe there are people who DIDN'T see this coming. I'm not being provocative, but really, it was a matter of when not if.

You really did hit the nail on the head there. Unfortunately some of use were in between builds and didn't have much ammo (5.56) stocked up when the SHTF in December.

Remember this 2 years from now, save up some ammo for next election year.

Be smart and sell your brass too.

Not just hoarders but all the new guns stripped from shelves during latest panic need ammo too.

Yup. I've been considering selling all my AR things and going with a AK47/74 because Russian ammo is still widely available and dirt cheap. 5.45 is going for <$200 for 1,100 rounds meanwhile that many rounds of 5.56 will cost you nearly a grand.

The worst part about this is once everything clears up and things are close to 'normal' that there will be another shooting, there will be another election, and there will be more attempts at legislation in the future. Its a never ending cycle and when the going is good we have to be smart and stock up while we can so we can be prepared when the next tragedy happens.
