All I know is I am woefully inadequate and need to practice and take a course!!!
"Those who do can't explain; those who don't can't understand"...
Honestly, this is a "well DUH" statement. If you cannot take the shot you simply don't.
In a TRAINING CLASS where you are supposed to push your self and attempt to solve the problem the instructor is presenting to you. So take the shot and if you miss, cool. Lesson learned and now you know your limitations and what you need to work on.
If you cannot take a hard shot in training, then where can you???

I would've tried it in the shoot house, but definitely not in real life unless there was really no other way. I've thought a decent amount about my limitations when shooting since getting my CCP, its important that everyone does.
Sic semper tyrannis.
Yes I does! ... couldn't resist that one.
I would need every bit of the 2 seconds and the manikin better hope the adrenalin hasn't kicked in yet. 15 yrds... the manikin is probably going to be screaming "don't shoot don't shoot!" 25 yrds... the manikin is going say to his captor ... "We're screwed... he's going to kill us both."
I see people saying that they would have to slow down to make the shot.
I would argue that you should slow down when you take the shot. Speed should be during the draw, and during presentation of the gun in order to have more time to achieve a proper sight picture and good trigger pull.
A fast miss is still a miss.
It's not about surviving, it's about winning!
