CT - new gun laws and registering mags

So Gov. Malloy signed in new gun laws today for Connecticut.

My question - how do they plan on having you register existing standard capacity magazines when said existing mags don't bare individual serial numbers? Is there going to be a little librarian looking lady working 80 hours a week from now till Jan. 1 with a hand held engraver and then writing names in a book? Do they really think the LEO will be the only ones with access to these new databases?

And if this should be "Current News, Events, etc." General discussion forum at the bottom, my apologies. I don't have access for some reason.

Don't feel bad neither do I.

Post count is the reason for not having access. I wish you guys the best in CT. Sorry about what's going on there.....and everywhere else.
Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~ Paul Howe

Fortunately we have a gun owner friendly Republican majority in Michigan...

Probably going to be more along the lines of simply registering who has how many of what. I feel simply terrible for the folks in CT. 3.5 million people have their rights taken away because the actions of people who wouldn't have bothered to follow the law in the first place.

Sounds like Maryland is right behind them.

Among the stupidity coming here to the "free" state, our 20 round mag limit goes to 10, we will have to register evil "assault style" weapons, future sales and transfers of those evil weapons will be banned, and we will have to obtain a permit to buy handguns, which will include being fingerprinted. I'm positive there will be a bunch of new fees associated with this. Luckily, as with the 20 round limit, the 10 round limit wording does not prohibit possesion of higher capacity mags, so you have to physically obtain them out of state and bring them back. All in the name of reducing gun crime, while at the same time they abolished the death penalty and declined to enact mandatory minimums for criminals who use guns in crimes. Other assinine legislation being passed by our legislature includes increased gas tax and drivers licenses for illegals. But I should feel honored to be subject to all of this, because its for the children.
