    Battlecomp question

So I had a gunsmith install my noveske 14.5 ss barrel along with my battlecomp 1.5. When I got it back he had installed the battlecomp upside down with the logo in the 12 o'clock position and of course it's pinned. So is this going to cause a problem? From battle comps website it's recommended to have the logo at the 6 o'clock to help with dust kick up in the prone position.

    Thanks guys

Edit: I should have put this in tech discussion. My bad

Uhh yeah if the battlecomp is upside down it will be INCREASING muzzle rise instead of decreasing it. I'd be pretty livid if I were you, of course he doesn't know what you don't tell him so I see how the mistake could be made.

Adco can remove pinned devices, but they destroy the muzzle device in the process. Maybe you can get a skilled machinist to drill the pin out and save the comp?

Wow! I think I would have had a hard time not insulting that gun smiths intelagence when I noticed the Muzzle Brake was now welded on comptely ass backwards. I understand mistakes happen but, I think said smith should be the one trying to figure out how to make this right. Not the customer.

That was my thought as well. OP take it up with your gunsmith and have him take responsibilty for his mistake.

Make your smith pay for removal of the old and installation of the new one. Make him pay a new smith to do the work.

The problem being is that to un-pin a muzzle device it usually requires destroying the device.

Can you give the name of this guy? I am in NC also and want to make sure I stay away from him.

I would send it somewhere like ADCO to have them fix it. If they have to destroy the comp I would try to get something back from your smith but, I would not let him do any kind of work again.
