Not sure. I don't think it needs anything else per se, but no doubt would benefit from what others have suggested here, but I'm happy to get some range time with it "as is" for now and see what happens. At this point, I'd say ammo and range time and or some courses would be best $$$ spent.

And of course the ammo situation being what it is right now, I'm not in a hurry to use up my supply and or pay the crazy prices in current panic climate. I actually was in a store that had a 3 box limit for wolff ammo at $20 per box. That's $1.00 per rnd of crappy Wolff ammo.

    I couldn't f-ing believe my eyes.

So, my range time and or courses I'd like to take, are minimal to zero until things change like many people. Bad mojo.

Will, if that's an HD gun I'd strongly recommend a light. Even an X300 or an Ultra would be great, and relatively cheap.

Yep. This should work very well: http://www.impactweaponscomponents.c...l-by-surefire/ <-- hard to beat for the price.
If you want a better light, look at the EAG Fury @ BravoCompany and get the mount above. Using the IWC mount will get the light out further so you won't be so cramped on the short rail.

That set up does a great job of not using up my very limited handspace on the rail. Something to add to the list for sure. Thanx.

320 Lumens! If I miss, their hair catching on fire will distract them.

I know there's been discussion of lights intended mostly for indoor/HD can be too bright and I'm thinking 320 L has to be getting in that territory no?

    +1

I'm a fan of the Tango Down stubby VFG.

It comes in handy when additional support is required.

    Examples:

    1) Resting the VFG on a rear view mirror when shooting from a car. Assuming that shooting from the vehicle is prudent in the first place.

    2) Shooting from sitting position with legs outstretched and one foot resting on top of the other, with the VFG resting on the top foot.

Don't think I could do these with an AFG, but that's just me.

The Fury is 500 Lumens. It's quite the light, and I highly recommend it.

If you're squared up to your target, I wouldn't worry about having a 7" rail, especially if you're running the stock all the way out.

I'm 5' 11" and if I square up to a target my 9" rail is GTG at 2 of 6. If I'm standing straight up (ie no lean) and bladed, then I do 5 of 6. Either way, I think the current fad of having 13" rails will pass on everything except precision rigs.

Your current set up looks GTG, just add a fury, and grind off the hump on your grip (if it bothers you).

When it comes to how many lumens a person should run, I tend to lean toward the higher output numbers.

I use to have a Surefire 6P with a Malkoff upgrade, not sure what the lumens are but somewhere around 200, and while using it indoors it is plenty of light. Even when the batteries are not 100%. However onetime when I needed to use my rifle and light outside searching for a four legged intruder, that light at least to me left alot to be desired because the batteries were getting low. Indoors O.K., outdoors found it lacking.

I have since purchased a Surefire EAG Fury and mounted it on my carbine. Really liking the light's output.

With lights now crossing the 600 lumens threshold, I don't think one can have one light that satisfies indoors and outdoors scenarios (unless the light has multiple power setting). I almost bought the new streamlight 625 lumens light after debating its relative merit especially the danger of losing NV from that light bouncing off the walls.
