Need some advice/opinions on Daniel Defense....

I'll come right out and admit that I got caught up in the mass buying hysteria back in December. Within a few weeks I bought both a Windham Weaponry MPC and also a Sig M400 Enhanced ODG

Well things seem to be coming back to earth as far as the AR supply is concerned. Both the Sig and Windham have been occupying nothing but space in my safe as I gave primarily focused on shooting my handguns. My outdoor range is now open so more time will be devoted rifle shooting

A week ago I saw a DD M4 V5LW in a LGS I frequent for 1450.00. Took it off the rack and fell in love with its light weight and what appears to be a great fit and finish. I threw 150 bucks down to put it on layaway. Since my initial purchase of the other 2 ARs I have done a bit more research and have learned about the upper tier (at least price wise) ARs. Within the last week I sold the Sig to pay for the DD

Ok so after having a week to think about it here is my quandry. I went to Sig Academy today to pick up a Pmag I saw they had the M400 Enhanced ( like I just sold) in stock but in FDE which I've been eyeing for awhile. With my military discount I can walk out of there with it for 945 dollars.

So without turning this into a novel, is the DD worth the extra 500 dollars or am I better off pocketing that savings and outfitting the Sig?

With the DD I am going to put an ACS stock, a new pistol grip and probably MBUS sights to start

Bottom line, worth 1450 for the DD?

    Thanks guys

Just my opinions as both a DD dealer and as a collector/shooter. I would say the extra money on the DD is money well spent. Their customer service is fantastic (not discounting Sig's, just commenting specifically on DD) the fit and finish of their products speak for themselves and I feel their attention to detail ranks right up to the top with the other big names, BCM, KAC etc. You definitely get what you pay for and while the Sig is attractive at that price, in my book DD is a clear winner.

Get the DD. You won't regret it. I have the DD M4V5LW and it's an outstanding gun. It handles nicely and with the 12inch rail, you have more room to reach out or mount a light. Te new DDM4 rail is my favorite shaped quad rail on the current market. You'll spend $300-350 on a comparable rail. The DD has a QD sling swivel socket on the receiver end plate, so you can run a single or two point sling which is one of the main selling points of the Sig.

I don't see any reason to get the sig over the DD.

+1 for the DD. I've got a v7LW that has been great so far.

The DD is worth every penny. I love my DDV3.

If you also want the SIG why not sell the Windham? The M400 has got to be much better than the Windham though for roughly $1000+ you could get a basic Colt 6920 for your second AR.

Sounds like some real impulse buying to me. Why don't you SLOW down a bit and do some research for yourself so you can make your own educated decision or next month you will be thinking 'I should of bought a KAC or a Larue...

Should've sold the WW and kept the Sig as a backup. That's what I did.
