    $2000 for a rifle.

I want to do a non-scientific study and see if a person had $2000 to spend on a AR15/M4 style rifle, which components would most choose?

Please post what you would build or buy with $2K pre sandy hook. Leave out optics, ammo, mags, and training. I just want to focus on the rifle itself.

    Thanks.

Edit: This includes factory and custom builds.

I spent $2k on my rifle before I read at length on this site. If I had to do it all over again...one of the tan SR-15e3's add a BCM ambi charging handle and grip...done sir, done.

I think there is a thread or two here on dream builds..if you wanted to see what we would do immediately after winning the lottery....

You see $2000 ARs on Gunbroker all the time. Here's just one example:

I guess if it was rare enough, I would consider it.

I'd have to think about it a little but either a Noveske or a KAC SR-15

    Would this $2k include furniture/rail?

If it included rails and all in that price I would probably stick with DD or Noveske or BCM w/DD rail. Is it rifle and rifle only or are you including QD attachments, Vertical Grips/ AFG, lights, slings, stocks, lasers, etc?

Pre SH - KAC SR-15 mod 1 plus surefire FH for suppressor. Setting aside optics the rifle doesn't need anything else.
