    Weights of various optic setups

In the search for the "fastest" carbine, I've been thinking about the weight/optic effectiveness (cost/benefit) tradeoff recently. Here are what some of my optics (and accessories) weigh (according to a Sunbeam digital postage scale). Please feel free to add to this list.

Can you do the 512 w/o the LaRue mount? Or a close guess?

My Trijicon 1.5 x 24 Compact ACOG (TA45-2) is about 6 ounces. It's on top of my A1 style upper M4gery. . Don't think you can get much lighter than that.

At least until I retrofit a LW pencil barrel...
