Buffer, Schmuffer. You've been served up a perfect CLUE in that one works and the other doesn't.

Listen to Clint and Gunz. Get good lube in there and isolate the problem using the carrier swap test suggested.

Also... what is the barrel length on this? I'm not sure what a "mod 2" is exactly. If it's a 14.5 and you're running PMC bronze... that's a bad combo.

My BCM has a 16" barrel.

Hmmm... I'd have bet you were going to say 14.5 for sure. Unusual for a 16 to do that. It's not an impossibility that there is an issue with the Bravo carrier.

I did swap out the bolt's and carrier's between the DD and the BCM to try and narrow the problem down. I could not get either rifle to have any issues at all using using any combination that I tried. Like I was saying it is really weird that it doesn't do it all of the time even from the same box of ammo. Would temperature have any influence on the issue? The last time it did not lock back it was really cold out side and the very next day it was warmer and it locked back every time, just wondering.

Colder temperatures cause most objects to constrict, and can cause lubricants to become more viscous. Does that have anything to do with your situation? I have no idea. Just throwing that out there.

    However...
