    Vortex Razor 1-6 Mounts

I order a vortex razor 1-6 scope today and its going on my colt 6920. And i call larue to order the mount and the guy took my info and said i should used the lt111 mount so i order it. I have been looking at pics of the same scope on other mounts and it looks like the scope is mounted forward a lot more than what the lt111 does. You guys and gals that have the vortex what mounts and offset are you using??

I would definitely recommend getting their extended eye relief LT-139

FYI, I just received a Bobro Extended eye relief mount and tried to mount my Vortex 1-6x Razor HD in it....It wont fit

The magnification ring makes contact with the base of the mount. You cannot adjust the magnification as it touches the base.

BOBRO has a special base that will work for this (ordered one).

Nick, check with Bobro. The gentleman I got an extended mount from came with a second arm that was taller.

Cool. I just sent Bobro a message thru the website. I was really impressed with the mount and how it works.

J, I was thinking about having someone cut a notch in the base so it would fit the magnification ring with the cattail/magnification lever attched but if they make a specific base for this application as Grant says that would be great news.

Whoops, I didn't see grants Response. I was not aware of a special base so that is interesting news I will have to follow up on since I was going to have mine milled. I ran into the same problem with the TR24 and the 2 piece cattail on mine as well. Not enough clearance.

But yea awesome mounts. Oh and if you didn't already now the lever on the base is reversible allowing it to be mounted strong side with the lever pointing to the rear.

Do you all prefer the extended mounts because of your shooting style or is it neccesary for the eye relief? I noticed on the Vortex site, JM is using the std ADM and even set back a bit. I'm just wondering as I'm also interested in this scope.

    Thanks

I have a LT 104 and it works great. No issues. It has plenty of space and it is rock solid......can't go wrong with LaRue.
In no way do I make any money from anyone related to the firearms industry.
