aimpoint h1 stock mount on AR?

Hey guys, just got my new aimpoint H1. The retailer I got it from also was kind enough to throw in a riser for absolute co-witness. So I put in the riser, put the stock aimpoint mount back on the riser, screwed on the H1, and went to put it on my rifle. Well, even when torqued down, the aimpoint slides back and forth in the rail slot. It slides barrel to butt stock, not left to right. What causes this? I will eventually get a new mount, but for now is there a fix I dont know about? According to the schematic, I have it right, but according to the optic on my rifle, I dont.

You can shim the picatinny rail with a piece of aluminum foil. Push it down in the grooves, mount optic, trim overlap with an Xacto knife.

I suggest you replace the mount with a LaRue 660. it is a 1/3 cowitness and a quality product.

    Good luck

Yes. A single layer should do it.
