In the US, 7.62x39 Valmets are pretty rare, which is why they command a premium. I remember looking for one about five or six years ago and seeing them going for $3000-5000. Still one of my grail guns. And one of those guns that, like an SG551, I've felt that if that was the only rifle I had, I'd be happy.
