    Benelli’s Nova Tactical

    Doing some research recently.

Looking at $449 for this gun and that is a good price. It would make a great addition to my 870P. I shot one a year ago and recently held another in Cabella's, loved the smooth action.

    I have three questions.

1.) What company offers a good mag extension for either one or two more rounds?

2.) How to mount a light without adding huge rails?

3.) Can the Benelli night sites fit this gun or just the Super Nova?

Does anybody even have or like this model Benelli?

    Thanks.

    Benelli’s Nova Tactical

I have and like my nova tactical. Mine came with a mag extension many years ago so I'm not sure what brand it is. As for a light, you can get a mount that basically replaces the mount that clamps your mag extension to your barrel that comes with a small picatinny section that could be used to mount a light. I'm on my phone other wise I would grab a link for you. I have no clue about the night sights.

My only com for the gun is that it is an open cyclinder bore and I would like to be able to run chokes to make it more suitable for coyote hunting and 3 gun.

Edit: this is what I'm talking about for rail section.

    FWIW,

If you look around, you might be able to find a SNT for the same price as a NT. I got mine at Dick's for $450. Depending how you feel about them (Dick's), that may be a no-go for you, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

BTW, they had both the one with a pistol grip and the one without. If you have little mitts, ask them to take the barrel off so they can remove the trigger lock and you check that you can reach the safety. I couldn't.

    Good luck!

I'm still researching and haven't yet learned the difference between the Nova and Super Nova. They appear to be very similar.

I have a NovaTactical that I bought used a couple of years ago. Very good pump shotgun. I like the way you press the button on the forearm to remove a shell from the chamber without releasing the next shell in the magazine. I haven't shot mine a whole lot, but there is no doubt it is a solid defensive shotgun. If you are used to a 870 then the Nova will take some getting used to.

    Some of the differences:

    SNT:

    Pistol grip option
    Drilled and tapped receiver
Removable stock (built into receiver on the Nova)
    Trigger guard
Shim kit (for changing drop and cast)
    A few cosmetic differences

    ...and it's SUPER!

    Good luck.

    Bought a Benelli SuperNova Tactical.

I found one without the pistol grip at a local gun store.

I've only had a chance to clean, lube and fire 5 slugs through it so far.

At first I could only feed it two - 2 3/4 shells. I didn't know there was a round limiter in the magazine tube until I took it apart.

I'm looking forward to firing more rounds down range with this one.

I'm going to need a mag extension, light mount and sling.

I'd like to use my MagPul MS3 sling.

Congrats. For the accessories, are you thinking of going with the usual suspects: Mesa, Nordic, random light mount?

Keep me posted. I haven't bought anything yet but was leaning that direction. Do you know if the M1/M2 SF fore end will fit the SNT?

The only thing I've ordered so far is a couple Esstac Shotgun Cards.

Haven't decided on the Mag extension or light/mount yet.

I'd really like to find a sling mount that would accommodate my MagPul MS3 slings.
