I'm part of the few that prefer EO Techs sights mainly due to the reticle. I used to run an aimpoint H1, but my eyes don't see a nice circle in aimpoints so precision was hard.

I voted Eotech to lead you down the path of misery.![]()

Curious that you list the Comp M4, but not the PRO. For the money, the PRO represents a "best of both worlds" proposition in many ways; especially if you're one of those guys that finds the tube diameter of the H-1/T-1 to be just a bit on the small side.
The other issue I see is that you don't seem to have committed to a particular distance or magnification. I'm assuming 0-100m and 1x, based upon most of what you've listed, but you can't really narrow down your choices until you've decided how you want to use the gun, where, and for what sorts of targets. It's hard to beat a 1x Aimpoint, of course, but as my eyes have aged, I have to admit that I have come to appreciate some magnification in the mix, too.
The default answer here for most will likely be H-1/T-1, and whether or not that proves to be the right answer for your situation or not, it will never be the wrong answer.

The PRO is the thinking man's RDS.
Personally, I'd go with a variable power scope.
I agree with LB
I had a TR-24 and a T-1. Got rid of the TR-24. I regret it. I have an astigmatism creeping back in to the picture, and the T-1 is getting a little harder to use.
If this is your SHTF gun, the variable zoom will increase your utility. No shame in a little zoom to help with less than perfect eyes.

SHTF CompM4. Toughest dot IMO and battery is common and found everywhere and doesn't require removing sight to replace. Weight is the only negative.
You have notified Eotech to get it fixed, right?
I just went and held the comp m4 for the first time.... liked it a lot. Then I held an SR-15 with a T1 mounted on it and now I can't make a decision lol.
They are both amazing, but I can't get over the feeling that I could take my comp m4 off the rifle and use it as a hammer lol. It feels indestructible. However, the T1 is deceiving. When holding it in your hand and trying to look through it the lens seems too small, but mounted on a rifle it seems great.
I think one of those two will be the one. I have not called EOTech yet, but I am going to today.
I had zero interest in the SR-15 until I happened to pick one up by pure coincidence. Have hardly picked up any other rifle since. The SR is a very lightweight gun, so finding one with a T-1 pretty much represents the best of all possible packages where fast-handling carbines are concerned. Another rifle might not feel quite the same, but the T-1 still brings many of those same qualities to the table, simply because it is so small and light.
Again, I'm not sure that you are doing yourself much of a service by overlooking the PRO (vice the M4), but at least you're shopping in the Men's Department now, where you would be hard-pressed to make a bad choice. My eyes still find the T-1 a bit on the small side, but for most, there is no better selection.

Side note:
I find the T1/H1 to be better when backed up against the rear sight as it makes the tube "bigger".
Still agree that the PRO is a great deal.
