I just bought one of these mounts and was wondering what the correct mouting was. I thought it would mount to the top rail but on their site it shows it mounted to the side rail.does it matter? Would it affect zero either way?

If you mounted it on the top rail that would put the optic at the 2 o'clock or 10 o'clock position. It would also sit pretty far from your rail. Do you only have a top rail?

Yes i only have a top rail right now.

Well... then I guess you have no choice. Once you mount it, then you zero your optic, so no... it would not "affect your zero."Originally Posted by dentron
