SBR Build Help?

I want to build a no frills SBR on a Form 1.

I want a very simple very light EXTREMELY reliable gun. It WILL shoot lots of Wolf as well as BH 77s and my 77 reloads.

I think I want a 10.5 LMT.

I don't know / understand which buffer I need - H, H2, H3 and don't want to spend a bunch of money and time screwing with it - so which one is best for the loads I want to shoot and make it 100%?

I want to make this as economical as possible too.

Thoughts?

I have a 10.5 LMT that has proven to be EXTREMELY reliable with everything I've run through it. That includes BH 77-grainers, Hornady 75-grain TAP, M193, M855, commercial 55-grain FMJ from a variety of manufacturers, reloads of various weights, and even with the dreaded and much-maligned Wolf.

Mine has an H buffer in it, and an LMT M16 carrier. However, I also have a Noveske KX3 on the barrel. Without the KX3, the Wolf might be a bit too weak to reliably cycle an H buffer; so you might be better off with a standard CAR buffer. It could take some trial and error, but CAR buffers are cheap and H buffers are generally only about $20.

I really don't think Wolf will run well with an H2 or H3, especially in the LMT upper.

For EXTREMELY reliable I would recommend an 11.5" or better yet a 12.5". I have 10", 11" and 12" SBRs. The shorter they are the worse they are for reliability.

I use a H buffer and LMT M16 BCG with my LMT 10.5", and it runs great.

I haven't taken it to any classes yet. It's hard to find the time, working six days a week. If you are aware of any carbine courses in the Central Ohio area, let me know. I don't know how well it will perform with weaker ammo like Wolf. I mainly use Mk262, M855, & Federal XM193. Mine is pretty new, but so far I have had no issues with the M16 carrier, H buffer, & good ammo configuration.
