I had JM custom Kydex make me a IWB holster for my Colt/Dawson/X300U. I got a ring's gun, bolted the rail to it, and sent it to Tony with my X300. It came back pretty darn quick

I realize this is an old thread, but if you want to use a DG switch with a Safariland 6280, 6360, etc...
Take a heat gun or heated up hair dryer and focus it on the area below the trigger guard of the holster for a few minutes to get it really heated up. Take an empty gun with the light and switch mounted and stick it in the holster and keep heat on it for another minute or so. Then let it sit in there and cool for twenty or thirty minutes. It will fit and work just fine after that and won't wear off the rubber on the DG switch. We've been doing that for years with success.
There's a wealth of information in this thread for sure. I'm looking into the MARS and Grizzly adapters right now for one of my 1911s, and my main concern is holster adaptability. Can anyone comment on what holsters-if any- work well with the MARS or Grizzly adapters without any substantial jerry rigging?
I have Kydex for my dawson railed pistol by:
Raven, IWB for the pistol only
Raven, IWB for the pistol and light
JM Custom, IWB for the pistol and light
Safariland 6004, for the pistol and light (ordered holster for a railed 1911 + m3 light)
and my pistol (without light) fits in a couple old leather IWB holsters

Thanks theJanitor for the information.
I'm going to be running a Surefire most likely on the rail if I choose to get it installed. I'm talking to my gunsmith about this project later this week.
