Scope base help

The last piece needed for my Savage 10 pc is a scope base. This will be supporting a Bushnell 3-12 Elite, in Vortex/Seekins rings. The rifle will be lucky to see 100 rounds a month average, with a max distance of 200 yards for now.
So, is there any reason I should go with the Warne mount over the Weaver Tactical mount? Those are the two I'm debating over right now. I'm open to other suggestions too.

I use the Evolution Gun Works HD 20 MOA mount on my 700 SPS, works great

If you plan for further distances i would consider a 20moa cant. Ferrell or top tier badger buy once cry once

I have an EGW 20 MOA base on my Savage and that would be my recommendation. With a decent scope it will handle everything from 50 yards to 1,000 yards.

If you mean made by EGW and sold by Savage, I don't know. I have 3 EGW bases, including one on my .22 bolt action rifle and I like them.

EGW also markets full length sizing dies for pistol brass. I own EGW dies in 9mm and .40 S&W and have had good luck with both of them.

Roger that. Information would be appreciated.

Let us know how well the Warne base fits, how well the screw holes line up with the receiver and if there are enough slots on the base so that you can mount your scope with proper eye relief without modifying the mount.

Received my mount and rings yesterday. The rings are low Vortex/Seekins. It's mounted up, but that's it for now. I'll get it to the range on Wed.
It's definitely heavy duty, I was suprised by it's heft. Finish is ok, not flawless, but it'll do for the Savage. Fit was perfect, I was expecting a bedding job. After checking front then rear for gaps, I can report that not a bit of light could be seen between base and receiver. Of course the Seekins rings fit to rail is perfect.
So at this point I'm quite pleased. With the lack of love for my brand of rifle and this being my first build, I was expecting the worse. I guess I lucked out so far. Next, we'll see how it shoots.
