I once found a good article on OCD. I read it 140 times. It just about has to be the buffer or firing pin-right?

Not sure what rail/hand gaurd your using but I had a noise I couldn't pin point on my 6920 that drove me crazy. It turned out that the small rivets that hold the heat shield on to the rail weren't keeping the heat shield in place when tilting the rifle. It didn't move much but it was surprisingly loud and you could definitely feel it. Not a problem now that I know what it is but it drove me nuts!

I'm going with the firing pin.

Can you make a video... I had an MRP that I broke one of the locking bolts on (broken torque wrench and first barrel change ) which caused a more intense "buffer weight like" sensation. I removed the broken bolt but with just the single (receiver end) bolt in place the barrel would move slightly when the gun was tilted. However, it is hard to imagine that it would shoot like this effectively and without really knowing what type of sound it is (hence the vid) it is really hard to determine.

    This is ****ing retarded.

I'm starting to think that there should be a basic brain cell activity test to pass before buying an AR15.

So it's retarded when I have 3 Colts and a KAC which I don't have this problem but I get an LMT and now it shows up and then I am trying to figure out what the oddity is?
If you find it so retarded Mark, take your what must be significantly higher than the rest of us "brain cell activity" and do something useful and quit wasting bandwidth. Go throw a tantrum about LWRC or something or better yet if you have nothing useful to say, shut the **** up.

If you are certain it is not a sling swivel or another external part making the racket, pull the buffer and see if the parts fit loosely Chief. Try shaking it back and forth and see if you hear anything loose inside of it.
