1894 and 336 WORTH THE TIME.

I get to take time and do things the way thy should be done.
After all the correct way is never the fast way in the world we live in.
Time is never free and it can lead to some long days but that is what I was made to do and I would not change a thing.
The carbines in this post have had a long time in the oven and it shows.

This pic is of the place the factory rear sight dovetail is I took a filler and blended it down so the carbine looks like it was never there.

I would love to hear what you think about the set.

Absolutely beautiful work sir. I like how you fill in the original rear sight dovetail. You did it right and took no shortcut.

How long does it take for either of those conversion?

Those look brilliant. I can't wait to shoot them. The 45 colt is headed to northern Wisconsin this fall on a white tail hunt.

    Thank you
As to time the 35 took a long time the parts were a bit of a problem.
The 1894 was about a 12 weak project give or take.

In the end would you want me on the project 10hr 20hr or as long as it takes to make nice?

I am one of the most fortunate people in the world I get to do what I love for people I like and leave a legacy behind.

I hope that my words do not sound aragonite I just love to do what I do.
I am humbled by your words.

I spent the last days on the stocks and final fitting on the levers.
    You will love them

Some of the best things I have learned are -

    1. You picked the professional (artist) for a reason, let them do the work. Don't get into every little detail and drive them nuts.

    2. It takes time. Don't rush them either. If they are as good they are busy.

edit - 3. Good work isn't cheap and cheap work isn't good.

I am never the one to rush a project like this. I've waited almost a year on some guns. I was just wondering, that's all.

I really enjoy how you brought out the grain on the wood as well. If you are going to own a lever action, it just seems like the wood is an essential element of a fine gun.
