    Stoeger Double Defense

Considering actually purchasing the DD due to low cost and simplicity. Would you go with the O/U model or the SxS?

Seriously? So many pump options out there! How about a pistol instead?

A double is hard to beat if you only need 2 shots. Past 2 shots you are ****ed! It would probably make a good bedroom gun. You are not likely to find yourself fending off an army at the bedroom door. GH

Because of my love of double guns I've been tempted to buy one of these on several occasions...until I pick it up and handle it.

The fit and finish is, to be kind, on the crude side.

Unless I just wanted a range toy I'd rather have a Maverick 88 than one of these.

I have a stouter condor competition shotgun for the skeet range... I think I'd go with a Remington 870, because face it nothing is scarier for a criminal than the rack of a shotgun and a bright light. Just my 2 cents!

Sound choice, but for all the wrong reasons.

Why would you want a home defense gun that needs to be reloaded after two shots?

When you consider that possibility of missing a shot, the possibility of needing to shoot someone more than once, and the possibility of facing more than one attacker since criminals often operate in packs, it becomes aparrent that something that needs to be reloaded every two shots is grossly inadequate when compared to modern alternatives, be it a pump action shotgun that can hold 5+ rounds, a modern centerfire handgun in a duty caliber that can hold 10+ rounds, or a modern semiauto carbine that can hold 30.

When I look at all of your posts collectively, they make no sense.

In one thread you are worrying about putting too many accessories on your 15 shot FNX45--like a supressor, laser, RDS.

In another thread you are wondering why you shouldn't get a Tavor over an AR.

And in this thread you are considering buying a home defense longarm that needs to be reloaded every two shots when according to your other posts you have a 15 round .45 and are thinking about a Tavor.

Never said I was thinking about getting a Tavor. I just wanted to hear the opinions of the community. And I never said I had the FNX, I said I had decided to purchase one. Changed my mind for economic reasons. Just trying to weigh my options here and learn a little along the way
