    Colt Python

Well, here's whats going on. I was just given a Colt Python. Its a 2 1/2" barrel, "Royal Blue" finish, original grips (strong checkering), and from the serial number, it looks as though it was manufactured in 1970. No holster wear, and it looks like it hasn't been shot. Its a beauty. Do any of you know what fair market value is on it?

Im a SIG Sauer fanboy through and through, so I really do not know too much about this particular revolver. Prices seem to be all over the map. Thanks in advance.

$600 sounds pretty lowball to me. Not doubting Stubby's post but I think you could get substantially more out of that gun if you decided to part with it.

    Re: Colt Python

It's worth exactly what someone will pay for it.
I would expect a $700 sale without much trouble.

If it was the longer barrel such as 4 or 6" you could draw 1100+ but as stated 700 normal to low end 850 possibly

Thank you for the responses. It holds nicely, but it would just sit in the safe. I already have a ruger new vaquero that sits in the safe as it is. Im running out of space.

I did--checked out the prices and followed up by a subsequent shit. I dont know if those are pipe dreams, or are they actually selling for that price? From the looks of this thread, it seems like the former.
