    muzzle break options?

Looking to put a muzzle break on my new 700 in .300 win mag.
Mostly been looking at American Precession Arms fat bastard.

Should I be looking at others? Not really able to try them, just going on descriptions. What should I be looking for?

I've had good results with the JP Enterprises Recoil Eliminator. Granted, it's on a .223 SPR-ish rifle, but it's been nothing but effective nonetheless.

Good equipment is no substitute for good training.

The AAC 51T mount/brakes work good for general brakeage.

I'm a big fan of the Badger FTE brake. On a 17lb .338LM, it tames the recoil down to something more like a decently stout 12g slug load - just a nice firm shove to the shoulder. It's quite loud for the shooter and totally obnoxious for bystanders, though - plan on doubling-up on hearing protection.

Talk to Bob Reynolds, over at Templar Custom, in Apex, NC. I don't have his number with me at the moment, but you can google his new brake, the MC-E.
