Me too, I feel so much safer knowing Law Enforcement is out there everyday as the front line infantry in the War On Drugs.

I see what you did there.

I was also surprised how long he writhed around after the head shot because the description I read made it seem like he took an instant kill shot. I also thought it was interesting that you don't see any officers approach to secure the weapon or anything after he went down.

Given the variables involved and what they were facing, it would not have been prudent to make an approach at that time.

[QUOTE=WillBrink;1639374]A shame they didn't check the car they walked by. QUOTE]

I agree, but in the heat of the moment and with an approaching subject its easy to get tunnel vision. That officer probley didnt even notice the car. I would like to say that had the other man not came out they would have checked the car, if not then they willl from now on..... Also with the tinted windows(unable to see in) the officer could have taken a contact shot likely to the face had he open that car door..... No doubt about it god was with the law that day..

Everbody wants to be on the cutting edge of the knife as far as the action goes.. Nobody want to take rear security

Its not unheard of for a person to be shot in the head and survive ok. I know a guy that took an AK round and is still doing fine today. The head is a hard, round part to bust. Now I agree it most cases people who get shot in the grape dont fair to well. This could be option A and he may have just bled out..

I would think he was dead and just reflexes. You cut the filet out of a fish and it still twitches a few times... I dont see why humans would be different. He wasnt flopping around, he went down, still, then had a couple slow twitches which tells me he was dead, but there was just movement - based off of stuff I've read. I'd be interested in a real MDs take on it though.

That said, guy was an idiot, nice shooting on the cops part. Had to by scary as hell.

A twitch yes, but He was lifting arms and if i recall even his knee. I have never seen a person after death doing that much moving. ( I am not a MD) The body is a crazy thing though and not everybody is the same.

There was a vid of a guy getting shot up(look up why we carry one in chamber or something like that). After the shooting, he's alive, then collapses(bleeds out?). Then a few seconds later you see almost the same arm movements. Someone who iirc knew what they were talking about said basically what I did. Again , I don't know, just curious and wondering if anyone knew. It was a lot of movement tho so either way would not surprise me, but I digress....
