What You *NEED* To know About Whey!

This show I cover whey protein. If you think you know whey... What makes whey unique from ALL other proteins tested? What's the major differences between isolates and concentrates you need to know? What about claims of "grass fed" whey being superior to others? How does whey impact your health?

That's just tip of the iceberg of what I cover in this latest BrinkZone Radio show!

I have problems with Whey for some reason. After about a week of taking it, I get pimples all up and down my jawline. I never get acne otherwise. It's only whey that does it -- not even regular dairy. I've tested this enough to isolate it to whey protein, so I'm not imaging things.

So instead I've recently started taking Sunwarrior brown rice / pea protein with zero side effects. It has a complete amino acid profile. I understand that the protein is less bioavailable than in whey, but at 32G per serving, even I lose 20% of it I'm still around the regular 24G dose in a scoop of whey. It seems fine but I don't know.

    Think I'm wasting my money?

Couldn't tell you what's up with the acne and whey thing (though some have associated dairy to acne for some time, data showing the effect is slim) would be mostly a WAG on my part as to cause/effects there.

Pea protein has become popular recently, and as vege based proteins, GTG, but don't get to rapped up on the marketing hype of it. I'd probably mix and or rotate them, so you get a variety and balance amino acid intake, so pea, soy, rice, etc, and should be fine in terms of protein needs.

There's also casein, which is milk based, you could try, or even mix some into the other stuff, if you find the effect is strictly whey based vs milk proteins in general.

Although all are probably fine as a protein source (especially if you're nutrition in general is squared away) none appear to have the specific effects in immunity etc whey does per explained in the show.

You could also try Hemp protein powder, I have had excellent results with it and zero side effects as well. http://www.znaturalfoods.com/Hemp-Pr...-5-lbs?cPath=5

Hemp, pea, rice, soy, etc, will suffice if vegi based protein is what's wanted.
