The Royal Tenenbaums
The Royal Tenenbaums
Danger Lights. 1931. Louis Wolheim and Jean Arthur. This is a true life on the railroad movie. Takes place in Montana. The public version of the movie is abridged and and in terrible shape. This movie must been seen on TCM, or a purchased copy made form TCM's restoration.

"Daddy and Them"
Billy Bob Thornton...redneck philosophy at its finest.
I like scary movies, and most of them are C-grade / "only when you are sick" level of quality... that being said, I watched one recently that was really good, well made, well acted, and actually unnerving.
I dont know if it qualifies as a Great film, but it defo stands out in the horror genre imo. Check it out-

Not sure it's a "most have never seen", but great movie. If I had to name my 25 favorite films, it probably makes that list.
I have made several attempts at that movie having heard similar praise but for some reason I just can't get through it. It's just really bad and not in a fun way, at least to me.
I just figured it out, same director as "Time Bandits", just too much wall to wall weirdo stuff for me. Hate his work.

It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

Screwball comedies - Cary Grant was the king in:
The Awful Truth 1937
My favorite Wife 1940
The Philadelphia Story 1940
His Girl Friday 1940
But my favorite is The lady Eve 1941- Barbara Stanwyck and Henry Fonda. Preston Sturges directed and wrote. Pay attention to the 3-way toast that begins “To Washington in Valley Forge.” How it got past the censors I don’t know.

I don’t have the DVD, but I swear I hear her say Napoleon in Josephine every time I watch.
