I'm pretty sure the build quality of the .308 would match the .223 I handled. Like I said, the .223 is garbage and the price they're asking is ridiculous. I'm not really sure what Colt is thinking by putting their name on this junk. It even says on the receiver that it isn't made by Colt.
"It makes no difference what men think of war, said the judge. War endures. As well ask men what they think of stone. War was always here. Before man was, war waited for him. The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner."

    Thanks Rider

I honestly missed the licensing marking when I first read the site. My eyes where focusing on the rifle itself. Damnit, I would love to see Colt themselves make a rifle like this. Their 901 is nice, however, the accuracy reviews have not been so great. This exactly what I am looking for in another 308. Unless somebody says otherwise I will have to cross it off the list of potential 308s.

Too much $$$ for something not actually made by Colt, IMO. Given that you are willing to take a chance on something of unknown build quality, you could at least do it yourself and save $1,000. This is perfectly acceptable if you are willing to do some tinkering in case it doesn't run 100% of the box.

For the same price you can get a LMT MWS if you need a .308. And yummy? It's a rifle, not a cupcake.
To be fair, the purpose of the rifle is entirely a gamer gun not combat. I agree with everything you've said especially the price issue.
