Runs fine on my Wislson Combat with two different 16" mod length uppers. One in 5.56 and the other in 6.8
Both eject brass at 4 o'clock
5.56 shoots primarily XM193 and had a fixed gas block.
6.8 has an adjustable and runs primarily hot hand loads with 95g Barnes

Edit: never mind, I misunderstood.
BTW, I received one of the A5H2s that Midway got in stock last week and it has a different coating and material on the end than the A5H2 I got last year. It weighs slightly more too (+0.24oz).

Sure.
Different markings. Newest on the left, old one on the right. Notice the slightly different finish color.
The new one's finish is smoother. New (L), old (R):
Soft end. New (R), old (L). The new material is more translucent.

Yup. That's exactly how mine looks that I got directly from VLTOR and the 2 that I got from Midway. I didn't think to check the weight. Thanks.

Mine was purchased last summer and looks like the one of the right.
My guess is they made some slight changes to the newer batch.
IIRC Vltor had a falling out with whoever was producing their buffers and switched to doing it in-house hence the changes.
