Taking a red dot to 400 yards: easy as pie!

I turn the intensity down until I have little or no bloom left for the longer distance shots. I still had it bright enough to pick up the dot so it wasn't a hard to see speck.

Curious, do you have any kind of astigmatism, or are you seeing a true dot?

When I dial it down it is a laser sharp dot so no evidence of astigmatism.

If it looks like grapes then perhaps a low magnification micro Acog with and etched reticule would be a good investment over a RDS sight. I have my eye on one of those for an A2 rifle.
