I still don't have a 1911 with a rail. I was planning on getting a Series 70 since they started making them again but this one does look interesting.

It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.
Chuck, we miss ya man.

There is one on Gunbroker, not worth anywhere near the $4,300 price of admission that it is going for.

Wasn't really asking for "where to buy?", I'm a FFL/SOT and can wait till one of my suppliers finally gets them in stock.
I was mostly asking if anyone had any "non sales pitch" information regarding them, was able to check them out at shot show or possibly even has some first hand range experience with them.
Of course being as how it's kinda "new" I may have to wait to get some first hand feedback. Just heard about them today, looked them up and it has my interest.

I have seen some positive reviews in gun rags and on the net. A buddy of mine handled one at shot and said it was pretty nice. I have seen them at wholesalers for less then $2k, but of course they are listed as allocated. I am not a huge fan of the color, but it seems like a really solid pistol if you are looking for a rail gun. My only gripe is I could get two MC operators or Colt railguns for the price and with a 1911 2 is 1...

If I were in the market for a 1911, that one would do nicely I think.
It has all the bells and whistles I'd want on a 1911.
I'm looking forward to your review, BigJoe.

I haven't heard a single good thing about these guns; either in civilian or military hands.
I been thinking of getting my 1st 1911 & initially, it was gonna be a Delta Elite. When the M45 was introduced, I thought, "that's the one". I'm waiting/hoping for the price to come down. I've read a few magazine articles about it but I'm also interested in what others here have to say.

Other than the very public exposure (google or TOS) of the poor performance in testing (and subsequent revamp to a dual recoil spring) for the Marines, I have the below from someone in the know whom I won't name. Take it or leave it but I trust the guy.
Finish is sub par.
Small parts fitting
