    Handstop placement

Where and how do you use handstops?

    Curved side forward or backwards?

Do you place it in front of your hand, behind your hand, or between certain fingers?

Do you also use one on the side of the rail?

What advantages do you take into account with your placement?

I generally do curved back, between middle and ring fingers. I like the flatter part facing forward for use with barricades and having the handstop in the middle just feels better to me for some reason. But I think I'm in the minority with that placement.

I use it to stop my hand, and pull the rifle into my shoulder.

    Curve to front.

Curved forward, behind my hand used to pull the rifle into my shoulder.

We interrupt this programme to bring you an important news bulletin: the suspect in the Happy Times All-Girl Glee Club slaying has fled the scene and has managed to elude the police. He is armed and dangerous, and has been spotted in the West Side area, armed with a meat cleaver in one hand and his genitals in the other...
