    Skratch Labs Hydration

A friend of mine at work introduced this refined powder drink mix today. He saw that I like Gatorade and suggested that I should try this one out. I must say, I'm liking it a lot better than the 'Rade! Anyone one else here heard and/or tried it out?

Very first ingredient is basic table sugar. "Cane sugar" is sucrose functionally (it's basically a 50:50 mixture of fructose and glucose) regardless of any claims made to the contrary. They added a few minerals and flavors, and there you have it.

If it's not too expensive (cane sugar is dirt cheap) and you like the taste, all good. Nothing fancy in terms of hydration however.

$20 for a lb.? Too much for me considering Gatorade is about $8 for 3 lbs.

I hydrate like crazy when working out (about 96 oz in 3 hours), especially in the summer. This stuff would put a dent in my wallet. I'd like to try it though, I see them set tents up at my events.

Every year or so, a new company touts to have found the magic answer for hydration and or a recovery drink. It all boils down to sugar, protein, and some minerals.
